About Gray House Studio
We started Gray House Studio in 2013 as a way to document our DIY home renovation projects to show our family. We were newlyweds who had just purchased our first house. It was basic and very beige but it felt like a blank canvas for us to transform into a home that fit our style and personality.
We had very little money, very little tools and very little time but plugged away tackling everything ourselves each weekend. The projects started out small, a bathroom mirror update here, a new side table there.
10 years and 2 kids later we are STILL very slowly working on transforming the same house one DIY project at a time. We have been working on our backyard for 5 years! We have changed the purpose of our three rooms countless number of times and we are just now starting to tackle the bigger projects like renovating our kitchen, bathrooms and finally finishing the backyard.
We hope to give a realistic viewpoint that you don’t have to makeover an entire room or complete a project in a 30 second reel’s length of time. Creating the home of your dreams takes time and that is okay!
Our projects have expanded to not just home projects but fun projects for our kids, a VW bus restoration, and running our own print shop.
